Crucifix for Hospice for the Homeless

An image of death as transition, combining the baptism, crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Christ, in steel repoussé.

This crucifix was commissioned for a one-bed hospice home for the homeless of Austin, Texas at Community First! Village. It hangs above the altar between the caregivers’ room and the room of the person passing away.
